How can I delete my account or data?
You can request to delete your Everlab account at any time by contacting us at support@everlab.com.au.
Important: Your Health Data and Legal Obligations
As a registered health service provider, Everlab is legally required to retain certain health information for a minimum period — even if you request deletion. This is to comply with national and state-specific regulations and to ensure we can demonstrate that you received appropriate medical care in case of an audit.
Here’s what the law requires:
Region | Minimum Retention Period |
|---|---|
Victoria & NSW | 7 years from the last interaction, or until age 25 if you were under 18 |
ACT | 7 years from last care date (Health Records (Privacy and Access) Act 1997) |
New Zealand | 10 years from the last health service interaction |
There is no legal right to erasure of health records under Australian privacy law. Even if you request deletion, we are required to retain your health data securely for the legally mandated period.
What Happens When You Request Account Deletion
Your Everlab account will be deactivated.
Internal team access to your health records will be removed (except by authorised clinical staff for legal compliance).
Your data will remain securely stored for the minimum required retention period.
Once this period ends, your data will be permanently deleted, and a record will be added to our deletion register (as required by law).
