How do I apply the CGM? Is it painful?
Applying a Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is simple and virtually painless. Most people are surprised by how quick and easy it is to do yourself.
How it works:
Sensor Type: Everlab uses the FreeStyle Libre sensor.
Where it’s placed: The sensor is applied to the back of your upper arm.
Application: Using the included applicator, you press the sensor onto your skin. When applied, a tiny, flexible fibre painlessly slips just under the skin.
What it measures: This fibre detects glucose levels in your interstitial fluid (the fluid around your cells), not your blood.
There may be a small moment of pressure or a slight sting, but most people report little to no discomfort during or after the application.
If you’re unsure or have any questions, our Care Coordinator team is always happy to support you through the process.
