How do I set up my app and scan my sensor for results? How do I calibrate the CGM?

Edited

Once your Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is applied, setup is quick and easy—just follow the steps below to start tracking your glucose levels in real time.

1. Let the Sensor Calibrate

After applying your FreeStyle Libre 2 sensor, it takes just 1 hour to calibrate before you can begin tracking your data. No manual calibration is needed—just wait it out and you're ready to go.

2. Download the App

To view your glucose data, you’ll need the FreeStyle LibreLink app on a compatible smartphone:

Alternatively, you can use the FreeStyle Libre 2 Reader device if you don’t want to use your smartphone.

3. Connect & Start Scanning

  • Open the app and follow the prompts to connect your sensor.

  • Once connected and the 1-hour warm-up period has passed, scan the sensor by holding your phone (with the app open) close to the sensor on your arm.

  • The app will show your current glucose level, 8-hour trend, and daily patterns.

Once your app is set up and your sensor is connected, you’re all set for the week! For best results, scan your sensor regularly (at least every 8 hours) to keep your data up to date.
