Walk in Pathology appointment bookings

Edited

If you’re in Queensland, Western Australia, or the ACT — or prefer to use a walk-in pathology clinic — your Everlab “booking” works a little differently.

It’s Not Really a Booking
When you schedule your pathology appointment through the Everlab app or dashboard, you’re setting a calendar placeholder, not reserving a formal appointment.

Example: All Queensland Sutherland Nicolaides pathology clinics are walk-in only and don’t take formal appointments.

What’s a Calendar Placeholder?
Think of it as a smart reminder:

  • You choose your preferred clinic and time

  • It appears in your calendar as a reminder

  • You still join the walk-in queue when you arrive

This helps you plan your day around when you want to get your blood work done.

Why Set One Up?

  • Access your referral form: The placeholder unlocks your pathology referral form in the Everlab app.

  • Convenience: Without the placeholder, you can’t access your referral form. With it, everything you need is on your phone.

How It Works

  1. Set your placeholder: Pick your clinic and time through the Everlab app.

  2. Download your referral: Access your pathology referral form directly from the app.

  3. Show up: Arrive at the clinic with your referral form and join the walk-in queue.

What to Expect at the Clinic

  • Arrive any time during clinic hours

  • Bring your downloaded referral form

  • Join the queue and wait your turn

  • No appointment = no guaranteed slot

  • Busy periods (Monday mornings, lunch) may mean longer waits

Pro Tips

  • Check clinic opening hours before you go

  • Download your referral form the night before

  • Consider off-peak times for shorter waits

  • Bring a phone charger if expecting a long wait

The Bottom Line
Your Everlab “appointment” is a helpful reminder that unlocks your referral form. The real appointment happens when you walk through the clinic doors. Plan ahead, and your pathology visit will be smooth and stress-free.
