Which stage of my Everlab plan requires a DEXA scan?
The DEXA scan plays an important role in tracking your health progress and forms part of your Everlab plan based on your membership type.
For Diagnostic Members:
You’ll complete one DEXA scan as part of your initial diagnostic assessments.
This scan measures both body composition and bone mineral density to help establish your baseline health profile.
For Protocol Members:
You’ll complete two DEXA scans during your journey with Everlab:
Initial Diagnostic Assessment
– Measures both body composition and bone mineral density.Follow up DEXA scan
– Focuses on body composition only, to track your progress and changes over time. Why doesn’t the follow up scan include bone mineral density?
Bone density changes very slowly over time, and a 6-month interval is generally not long enough to detect any meaningful change. That’s why your follow up DEXA scan focuses solely on tracking changes in body composition, which provides more actionable insights at this stage of your plan.
The timing and purpose of each scan are designed to give your Everlab doctor a clear picture of your current health and how it evolves during your plan.
