Does the CGM hurt?

Edited

Your Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) is designed to be virtually painless — both to apply and to wear.

Most people find the application process quick and comfortable, with only a brief sensation when the sensor is inserted. Once applied, the CGM should feel unnoticeable during daily activities.

However, if your CGM causes discomfort or pain at any point, we recommend that you remove it. Poor skin preparation or incorrect sensor placement can also affect your glucose readings and overall experience, so it's important not to push through if something feels off.

If this happens, please contact the Everlab Care Coordinator team — we’ll organise a replacement and provide you with clear setup instructions to get you started again comfortably.
